ZONA MACO SUR 2018

NM Contemporaneo, presents Cisco Jiménez in ZONA MACO, a plastic artist whose work is somewhat controversial due to its provocative content. This project, called Radiograbadoras de Barro, took two years to complete, is a collaboration with Nahua artisan women from the regions of San Agustín Oapan in the state of Guerrero and the town of Cuentepec in the state of Morelos. The project resignifies craft processes and creates a dialogue between the discourse of contemporary art and the production, distribution and sale of popular art in these regions.
